December 2021 Holiday Gathering!

What an exciting evening! Childhood Cancer Community brought all of our families together at the Rochester International Event Center to celebrate the holidays! Thank you to Joe Powers of Powers Ventures for his generosity in helping to make this event possible.

Everyone came together over a beautifully appointed dinner and had the opportunity to spend time together away from the hustle and bustle of the medical world. There were 220 in attendance with 115 of them being children/teens. It was just a beautiful evening of relaxation and camaraderie.

After dinner everyone was invited to join in all sorts of holiday crafts & activities! There were gingerbread houses to be created, luminaries, snowmen Christmas tree decorations, mini stocking cap ornaments, tissue paper Christmas trees, holiday masks, and more!

A highlight of the evening was the arrival of a very special friend with his eight tiny reindeer! All of the children/teens got to visit with Santa and each received two gifts.

We are grateful for all of the gifts donated by the following community groups. We received 225 gifts valued at $5,500 collectively.
First Presbyterian Church of Rochester, (FPC Rochester MN)
Caleb Eide Memorial Foundation
Caring Hearts of SE MN
Mayo Clinic Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Custom Alarm of Rochester
Regency Multifamily of Rochester
Alexandria Kvenvold, (Alexandria Kvenvold: Ms. Global United Lifetime Queen)
Shelley Wingert and friends

We would also like to thank Caring Hearts of SE MN for donating 50 cookie boxes and 50 blankets which were gifted to our families. Thanks also to everyone who donated the beautiful Holiday Gift Baskets!
