February 2026 Valentines Community Night

February brought a special Community Night where all of our families came together to enjoy the Valentines Holiday! A huge thank you to our volunteers for decorating our dining area in the beauty of the season, including candlelight to grace the tables.

A scrumptious dinner was served by the Happy Ramblers 4H Club. They catered a meal consisting of a dinner salad, pulled pork sandwiches, au gratin potatoes, buttered corn, assorted cookies, and beverages. What a great group of young adults. We are so grateful for their generosity.

Following dinner, our children and teens had the opportunity to paint under the guidance of Ally Barr. A huge thank you to Ally for spending the evening with us. She is a very talented artist with a BIG heart! This is the second time Ally has joined us, in working with our teens and young adults. She brings great ideas to the table and certainly arouses the talents in each participant. Ally is a breath of fresh air and her art is beautiful. Click here to see some of her remarkable work.

And finally, we would like to extend our sincerest thanks to “Love Your Melon” for providing 70 warm and cozy beanies for all of our children and teens. It was so much fun watching everyone choose their favorite winter hat. This generous donation was made possible by Love Your Melon’s Buy One, Give One Program. For every beanie purchased, one is donated to a child battling cancer.
