September 2021 Childhood Cancer Awareness Community Night!
September is a very special month for our families as it is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Childhood Cancer Community took this opportunity to provide a time for all of us to recognize childhood cancer, and to show our children/teens that they are not in this fight alone.
”Gold” is the color of the childhood cancer ribbon, so our families were welcomed by touches of gold throughout the room as they arrived. The gold Childhood Cancer Ribbon made of balloons, and the beautiful table centerpieces, were designed and created by Kevin Lindh of Balloons by Kevin. Kevin also spent the evening providing balloon twisting and artistry for all. His talent is remarkable!
The gift bags all dressed in gold were donated by Toni Rice and her family, and contained lots of fun items. She also gifted each child/teen a $25 gift card in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness. How special was that?
All of the blankets and quilts were hand-made and donated by Donna Richardson. Donna loves to quilt, and we are grateful for her willingness to provide them for our families.
And last but not least, our scrumptious meal was provided and served by the Caleb Eide Memorial Foundation! Even the plates and eating utensils were “gold”! And as always, their food was amazing.
We are grateful to the community for their ongoing support of Childhood Cancer Community and the families we serve. Thank you to all.
