September 2026 ~ Go Gold, Shine Bright

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time that we share the fact that children get cancer too.

On September 5th, Mayo Clinic Childrens and Childhood Cancer Community (CCC) came together in a joint effort to “Shine a Light” on childhood cancer. Mayo hosted the event and CCC invited all of our families to an evening that provided live music, great food, ice cream treats, family friendly activities, socializing with medical personnell, and a time for uplifting reflections.

While all of these activities provided a great time, the highlight of the evening was the lighting of the famous Plummer Building in Gold, the color representing childhood cancer.

Thank you to Mayo Clinic Childrens for providing this special evening for all in attendance. It was wonderful to see Rochester’s skyline glowing gold!
