April 2026 Community Night - Spring Picnic Theme
What a fun time we all had at our April Community Night! The evening started with the Century High School Student Govt students serving our dinner and decorating our dining room. They chose the coolest theme for the evening, by hosting “A Spring Picnic”! The food was delicious, and the ambiance invigorating. Thank you students, for taking such good care of our families.
After dinner, our children and teens participated in fun arts and crafts offered through our “Kids and Teen Club”. At the same time, our parents/caregivers are invited to join in one of two different support groups for a time of sharing. One of the groups is for our families who have a child either still in treatment, or who is a cancer survivor. The other group is for our families who have lost their precious child, after a very valiant battle with cancer. If a bereaved family is joining us for the first time, they are welcomed with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in memory of their child.
A huge thank you to Ryan & Meaghan Rush, and family, for providing gift bags for our children and teens. They put together some very fun items for the children and teens. They also inserted a $15 gift card, to a major chain, into our teens gift bags so they could purchase something personal for themselves.
And finally, we’d like to thank the Benke family and Girl Scout Troop 48158 for the provision of over 100 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Each family was gifted a couple boxes. And who doesn’t love Girl Scout cookies?
