October 2024 Fall Community Night

What a fun evening! A huge thank you to the Mayo Clinic Proton Beam Radiation Therapists, who decorated our dining area, catered and served a fantastic meal, and provided some fun games for our families! They brought the room alive with touches that welcomed our little trick-or-treaters. From the cute table centerpieces, the colorful balloon arch, and a delicious variety of Fall desserts, the evening was so “cozy and inviting”.

We would also like to thank Joe Swicklick of “Not Your Average Magic” for sharing his magical talents with us. After dinner, our children and teens were invited to enjoy a fabulous Magic Show! Joe is a top-notch performer and is able to entertain all ages!

Another fun component of the evening were the cool gifts each of our children received. In keeping with our “magical” theme, each received a top hat, magic wand, and an assortment of their own magic tricks. It was so fun watching them perform magic, as many of them had perfected their craft before the evening was over!

We would also like to thank Healing Chapters Foundation for the donation of beautiful books for our families. It was so much fun watching our children trying to choose which book was their favorite. The Healing Chapters Foundation is dedicated to providing books to children of all ages who are dealing with physical or mental illnesses.

And finally, we’d like to extend our sincerest thanks to Trust Guy Ministries for the donation of our vibrantly colored Trust Shirts. Each member of the family was offered a t-shirt that sports the “Trust” logo and the Biblical verse Proverbs 3: 5-6. This is a verse that many of our families sincerely learn to live by, while battling childhood cancer.
